Why you should watch

The pressures on healthcare facilities created by the COVID-19 global pandemic have been significant. Never has it been more important for healthcare workers to communicate effectively and instantly to ensure quality of patient care and safety for both patients and workers.

To manage infection rates, it’s important that healthcare workers minimise the number of surfaces they need to touch throughout the day. Communication devices like smartphones and pagers have the potential to become virtual petri dishes of infection, so it’s essential to remove the need to constantly touch these while still giving healthcare workers the tools they need to communicate effectively, even while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

Badges solve this challenge by providing a hands-free communication method. They let workers initiate, conduct, and end conversations completely hands-free, even while wearing PPE. This lets them mobilise teams, share information, and direct patient care more efficiently, quickly, and safely than traditional communication devices.
